Have you ever sat at your computer and thought, “I know there’s so much more I could do with this puppy. I just can’t seem to find the time to learn from someone who can teach me what I need to know.” If time is an issue, look at it this way... how much time is being wasted on routine tasks that should take a lot less time?
One of the biggest drains on an organization’s profitability is lack of adequate training and development! This results in costly time wastage, low productivity, and a host of other hidden costs which have a negative impact on employees and the organization.
Chances are, as an employer, business owner, or manager, you’ve done your homework, and invested a considerable amount of time and money on computers and software. Then there’s the expense of making sure that everything is functioning reliably. Naturally, you expect a lot from this investment because computers have the potential to dramatically shape the way you do business, and ultimately your bottom line.
But, are you really getting a reasonable ROI from your technology? Sadly, computers usually remain a grossly underused asset. Why? Because the key ingredient - the people who are using them - are not properly trained. In most cases, the time saving features built into your software are unknown and unused. Often, users are expected to figure things out using what we call the hunt-and-peck method. Invariably, the end result is repeatedly wasting far too much time doing routine tasks.
You’re paying for the tools and then paying people to do things the hard way. Don’t do both!
