Specifically, what classes do you offer?

More specifically, what do you need? Traditional style classes might not be the best option for you. On-the-job training might have better results. If so, we’ll be the first to tell you.
Having said that, we do have a list of classes which will give you a good sense for the  range of topics we can help you with. If our list doesn’t include your particular area of interest, please contact us. At the very least, we can put you in touch with somebody who can deliver what you need.

Do you have a fixed schedule of the classes you offer?

Your schedule is our schedule! For maximum results, we encourage our clients to attend 4-hour training sessions, which complement demanding work schedules. More importantly, short periods of learning are less stressful, and have proven to be more productive for adult learners.

Together, we will come up with the best formula for maximum results.

Our training budget has taken a beating over the past few years. How much do you charge for your services?

There are several factors which determine the cost of our training and consulting services, and we look for creative ways to set very affordable rates. When all is considered, your return on investment will be substantial.

Take a look at our Pricing Guide for training, then call us to set up an appointment.

Where are your training facilities located, and do you provide onsite training?

We specialize in bringing the training - including laptops and presentation equipment - to your workplace, but only if you have suitable space and amenities.
Picture this... You and 20 complete strangers are sitting in a classroom, and nobody really knows what’s going to happen next. The instructor has artistically transcribed the entire table of contents from the student workbook onto the whiteboard... and you wonder why!
There’s very little space between you and your neighbors, and the room temperature could use a 10 degree adjustment!

The way we see it, if the training environment isn’t right, the training won’t be right. Remember, we like to have everything just RIGHT.
The best instructor, backed by superior equipment and training aids, will be severely hindered if the physical setting is not suitable for learning.
Even the slightest distraction, from a flickering florescent filament (try wrapping your tongue around that!), to lousy temperature control, will disrupt the learning process.
Of course, we would be delighted to have you come to us at the Arlington Technology Incubator, where there’s ample room for up to 12 students. We’re conveniently located next to UT Arlington, with no-hassle parking; restaurants within walking distance; and a pleasant change of scenery for a few hours!

On the other hand, if neither of the above options appeals to you, there’s always Plan C... we jointly find a suitable location (and there are plenty to choose from), to set you up for a memorable and productive learning experience.

I’ve heard that ‘techies’ don’t always make the best teachers. What standards do you use to ensure that the instructors you hire make the cut?

We agree - there are a lot of very talented people in the IT industry, but only a select few have what it takes to transfer their knowledge to others, particularly those who are not computer literate.
4ward Moves is very fortunate to have a network of subject matter experts who have years of real world experience. These individuals also possess superior teaching skills, and have proven their ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, hands-on intensive learning environment.

How do you plan to convince us that training is essential to the success of our business?

Let’s face it... if you’re not already convinced that continuous training - from 4ward Moves or another training provider - is a necessary part of doing business, we’re not going to waste your time, or ours, trying to convince you otherwise.

We know we could benefit from your services, but we’re not big on the idea of being away from work all day. How do you schedule your training?

There are two important facts to consider here. First, we don’t think anybody should be away from work for entire days. That’s why we encourage our clients to schedule training in 4-hour sessions.
Say, for instance, you and your coworkers need 16 hours of training. This could be done in four straight 4-hour morning or afternoon sessions, or two sessions a week over two weeks.
The second and more important fact is that adult learners benefit more from shorter training sessions, which strengthens the learning process and the level of knowledge retention. Over the years, many conclusive studies have proven this fact.

Basically, we want you to maximize your investment of time and money, and we’re prepared to do whatever makes most sense for you.

How many people can you accommodate in training sessions?

As few as three, but no more than 12 students.
